Increased Precautions We're Taking in Response to COVID-19

LAST UPDATED ON 12/17/2020

As updates on the impact of the coronavirus continue to be released, we want to take a moment to inform you of the heightened preventative measures we have put in place at Starlite Recovery Center to keep our patients, their families, and our employees safe. All efforts are guided by and in adherence to the recommendations distributed by the CDC.

Please note that for the safety of our patients, their families, and our staff, on-site visitation is no longer allowed at Starlite Recovery Center.

  • This restriction has been implemented in compliance with updated corporate and state regulations to further reduce the risks associated with COVID-19.
  • Options for telehealth visitation are continuously evaluated so that our patients can remain connected to their loved ones.
  • Alternate methods of communication for other services may be offered when deemed clinically appropriate.

For specific information regarding these changes and limitations, please contact us directly.

CDC updates are consistently monitored to ensure that all guidance followed is based on the latest information released.

  • All staff has received infection prevention and control training.
  • Thorough disinfection and hygiene guidance has been provided.
  • Patient care supplies such as masks and hand sanitizer are being monitored and utilized.
  • Temperature and symptom screening protocols are in place for all patients and staff.
  • Social distancing strategies have been implemented to ensure that patients and staff maintain proper distance from one another at all times.
  • Cleaning service contracts have been reviewed for additional support.
  • Personal protective equipment items are routinely checked to ensure proper and secure storage.
  • CDC informational posters are on display to provide important reminders on proper infection prevention procedures.
  • We are in communication with our local health department to receive important community-specific updates.

The safety of our patients, their families, and our employees is our top priority, and we will remain steadfast in our efforts to reduce any risk associated with COVID-19.

The CDC has provided a list of easy tips that can help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and then immediately dispose of the tissue.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Clean and disinfect objects and surfaces that are frequently touched.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.

Professional Referrals

At Starlite Recovery Center, we recognize the importance of building relationships with other healthcare providers. We value the partnerships we’ve developed with referral sources and welcome any opportunities to make new connections.

Our Referral Partnerships

Starlite Recovery Center has helped countless adolescents and adults near San Antonio and Austin, Texas, find long-term recovery from addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Our reputation as a leading addiction treatment provider is among the many reasons healthcare professionals refer patients to us.

Over the years, we have built valuable relationships with organizations and professionals throughout the region who share our commitment to providing the highestquality behavioral healthcare services. Some of the most common referral sources we partner with include:

  • Hospitals
  • Other addiction treatment programs
  • Other mental health treatment programs
  • Employee assistance programs (EAPs)
  • Private therapists
  • Social workers
  • Physicians
  • Court officials
  • Self-referrals
  • Friends and family members

Our goal is to transform the lives of people who have been impacted by addiction. Partnering with referral sources is one of the many ways we achieve that goal. We always welcome any opportunity to grow our connections with other healthcare organizations and industry professionals.

A Streamlined Referral Process

We value your time, so we strive to make our referral process as seamless as possible. To refer a patient to us, you can contact our admissions team 24 hours a day, seven days a week by phone, email, or fax.

We make every effort to gather all necessary information and documentation during that initial phone call. This may include:

  • Your contact information
  • Patient demographics
  • Patient insurance information
  • Patient medical records
  • Patient history and physical information
  • Patient reporting requirements (EAP, military, court)

If we determine that Starlite Recovery Center is the best fit for your patient’s needs, we will work directly with your patient and their family, if appropriate, to conduct a prescreening, complete a detailed assessment, verify their benefits, and arrange any necessary transportation.

We do our best to make the referral process collaborative so you can stay updated on your patient’s progress, if you so choose, throughout their time in treatment. Once we have your patient’s authorization, we will contact you to discuss how you prefer to receive updates and to coordinate with you on their discharge planning.

Benefits of Partnering With Us

When you refer a child, teen, or adult to Starlite Recovery Center, you can rest assured that they will receive compassionate care delivered by a team of experienced professionals in an atmosphere of dignity and respect.

We’ve created an inclusive environment that makes our center the leading choice for referring providers. We welcome people of all backgrounds and offer specialty tracks for LGBTQ+ individuals and clients who wish to integrate their Christian faith into their plan of care.

Referral sources also turn to us for our Valor Program, which provides specialized care for military veterans and first responders who are struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health concerns.

Our expert team empowers every person who turns to us in their time of need to regain control over their life and commit to long-term recovery. We create personalized discharge plans for each client to help them maintain their sobriety long after they leave our center.

I felt alone in this world confronting my problems. Fortunately, the staff at Starlite Recovery Center are well-equipped in their fields and were able to provide me with the assistance I needed in the admissions process. Starlite Recovery Center changed my life for the better!
