Texas’ Leading Adult Intensive Outpatient Addiction Treatment Program

Starlite Recovery Center provides an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for adults who are struggling with substance use and co-occurring behavioral health disorders. Adults age 18 and older who participate in IOP services at our facilities in Kerrville and New Braunfels, Texas, receive comprehensive, personalized care from experienced professionals.

Learn About Our Adult Intensive Outpatient Program

Adults who participate in the intensive outpatient program at Starlite Recovery Center can receive professional support for substance use and co-occurring behavioral health disorders multiple days per week while also having the opportunity to work, attend school, volunteer, or engage in other activities that help them maintain healthy, independent lifestyles.

We offer IOP services at our facilities in New Braunfels and Kerrville, Texas, where you can expect to take part in programming three days a week. Most people participate in our IOP for about eight weeks, but that length can vary based on your individual needs.

This program is often an ideal step-down level of care after someone has completed an inpatient or partial hospitalization program (PHP). However, others may find that our IOP is an excellent place to start their recovery journeys.

Telehealth Services

We also offer our IOP services through telehealth via Zoom, which is a HIPAA-compliant platform. Our IOP services are led by a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who is in long-term recovery. Our programming focuses on real-world barriers to recovery, relapse prevention, process groups, and individual therapy.

Concerns We Address

The adult intensive outpatient program at Starlite provides care for a variety of substance use disorders, including addictions to:

  • Alcohol
  • Heroin
  • Cocaine
  • Marijuana
  • Methamphetamine
  • Prescription drugs
  • Other opioids
  • Other stimulants

At Starlite, we know that many patients who choose to heal with us are battling more than just a substance use disorder. Many individuals are also contending with co-occurring behavioral health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, and the effects of trauma. Our IOP can address these co-occurring concerns, provided that patients don’t require round-the-clock supervision.

How We Help

Our popular 12-Step program, which leans heavily on group therapy and common concerns to assist in the recovery process, has helped countless people overcome substance use disorders. We also use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), a type of psychotherapy that focuses on the connection between thoughts and actions. For clients who do not connect with the 12-Step program, we offer alternatives such as SMART Recovery.

Our intensive outpatient program, located at our New Braunfels and Kerrville, Texas, facilities, relies heavily on group therapy, led by our staff of master’s-level clinicians. We offer groups three days a week and provide the following programming:

  • Process groups focusing on real-life situations that affect recovery
  • Psychoeducation groups offering information on relevant concerns
  • Discussions that cover a range of topics such as:
  • Addiction cycle
  • Cognitive distortions
  • Defense mechanisms
  • Boundaries
  • Relapse prevention
  • Codependency
  • Setting goals
