Serving Active-Duty Military Members & Veterans

Learn how Starlite Recovery Center in Center Point, TX, serves the unique needs of active-duty military members and military veterans

Military members are often on the front lines of disasters and may face physical and emotional violence, aggression, and injury, which can leave a lasting impact on their own lives and health.

Managing the emotional toll of military life can be exceptionally challenging. Some military veterans may turn to drugs and alcohol to try to cope with the complex and difficult emotions associated with their experiences, which can lead to the development of a substance use disorder. Others may use drugs or alcohol to self-medicate the symptoms of a mental health challenge such as depression, an anxiety disorder, or posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

At Starlite Recovery Center, we understand the complexity of addiction and co-occurring mental health concerns in military members. We developed a residential program that addresses the specific needs of this population so that our clients can receive the targeted help they need to achieve the best outcomes possible. Our program for active-duty military members, veterans, and military families offers a safe therapeutic space where individuals can begin the healing process.

The nonprofit’s mission is to help behavioral health professionals better understand military culture and the challenges faced by military members to improve quality of services.
