She’s a trained interventionist who currently serves as the Director of Outpatient Services for the Intensive Outpatient Program. She has over a decade of personal recovery and is an active member of the 12-step community. Michelle specializes in working with people who have made numerous attempts to obtain sobriety in the past and consider themselves “chronic relapsers.” She is passionate about helping individuals and families heal from substance abuse addiction. Michelle worked as an inpatient counselor at Starlite for 4 years before making the move to IOP where she truly feels she is meant to be. While at inpatient she facilitated the Freedom Program which focuses on the unique needs of the LGBTQ+ clients. She utilizes knowledge of CBT, REBT, DBT, SMART and 12-Step Model approaches to meet clients where they’re at and assist them in obtaining skills that help them fundamentally change their lives. Michelle believes that the continuum of care provided in aftercare services is essential in lowering the relapse rate and serves to provide clients the step-down support needed for a successful recovery life.
