Laurie Stevens-Beck, LPC-S, is a licensed psychotherapist, having worked in a variety of acute, residential and intensive outpatient treatment settings, as well as private practice. Ms. Stevens-Beck has previously served in the capacity as an Adjunct Professor.
Ms. Beck is a Board approved Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor with 20 years’ experience, working primarily with adolescents, adults, and families to assist individuals and their families experience transformative hope and healing.
Ms. Beck has extensive experience treating dual diagnosis clients, specializing in Eating Disorders, Trauma, Anxiety / Depression and other Affective Disorders, Chemical Dependency, Personality Disorders and severe mental illness. Laurie is trained and skilled in implementation of trauma-informed care practices and is educated and experienced with sound evidenced-based practices including CB, DBT, TF-CBT, EMDR, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Seeking Safety.
Laurie currently serves in the capacity of Director of Clinical Services at Starlite Recovery Centers, where she has direct oversight and management of all Clinical Services in our State Licensed, CARF accredited, Dual Dx / Addiction Treatment facility. Ms. Beck oversees supervision of clinical staff to provide and foster resilience in every client in order to enhance and ensure the most successful outcome for each individual served.
Ms. Beck is a member of TCA, ACA and was previously named by NAPW as an Outstanding Woman of the Year (2016-2017). Ms. Beck relocated to the Hill Country to be a part of the amazing team at Starlite Recovery, having previously served in the Austin community, and is an extremely proud mom of her 2 adult children.
